Give Reason:-

Answer:-

1) The smell of hot sizzling food reaches us from a distance because the speed of moving increases with the increase in temperature.i.e. the more the temperature, the more the kinetic energy, the more the speed of particles.

That is the reason that the smell of hot sizzling food reaches us from a distance.

2) For any substance the temperature remains constant during the change of state as the energy (heat) supplied is used/ consumed in changing the state of matter (in melting or vaporizing).

Hence the temperature remains constant...

ANS 1. It is because at higher temperature kinetic energy of the molecules are high and hence the rate of diffusion is high while at low temperature, the rate of diffusion is low hence one has to go closer to smell the food.

ANS 2. FOR ANY SUBSTANCE THE TEMPERATURE REMAIN CONSTANT DURING CHANGE IN STATE this is because the heat given to the substance is used to break the force of attraction present between the particles of substance. So temperature remains constant during change in state of substance.
