A body moves with constant velocity of 10 m/s for 5s and then speed up with a constant acceleration of 20 m/s^2 for 3s and again speed up with constant acceleration of 4m/s^2 and finally comes to rest in the next 6s with a constant deceleration. find the total distance travelling by the body.

Answer:

Let final Velocity be v, initial velocity be u , time be T and acceleration be a

v = u + at

=> v = 0 + (2 × 5)

=> v = 10 m/s

Distance be denotes as D

D = ut + ½at²

=> D = 0 + ½(2)5²

=> D = 25 metres
