Force is any interaction that, when unopposed, will change the motion of the object.

Force is given as, F = ma

where m is mass and  a is acceleration.

Acceleration is rate of change in velocity.

so, F = m \frac{dv}{dt}

Here the force is applied on the same object, so, m is constant.

Also, the body is moving in the straight line here, so the direction is horizontal. Also, the change in velocity is same as the initial velocity is the same in both cases and final velocity in both cases is zero (the object is brought to rest).

We know that, the greater the force applied on a moving object, the lesser the time required to bring it to rest. Hence, force applied is inversely proportional to the time.

Force\frac{1}{Time}

\frac{F_1}{F_2} =  \frac{t_2}{t_1}

Given: t_1 = 2 s\\t_{2} =3 s\\

\frac{F_1}{F_2} =\frac{3}{2}
