Question :-

A body of 2 kg thrown upwards, reaches a maximum height of 5m calculate the work done by the force of gravity during the vertical displacement .

Answer :-

Work done = potential energy in the height given ..

Work done = m g h

Given :

m = 2 kg

h = 5 m

g = 9.8 m/s²

Work = m g h

         = 2 kg × 9.8 m/s² × 5 m

         = 10 kg m × 9.8 m/s²

         = 98 kg m²/s²

         = 98 J

ANSWER :

The work done is 98 J
