A body of mass 10 kg is moving with a speed of 5 ms. Another body of mass 10 kg is moving with a speed of 100 ms Calculate the ratio of the KE of both bodies :

Case of first mass

Mass = 10 kg

Velocity = 5 m/s

KE = 1/2 mv²

     = 1/2 * 10 * 5²

     = 1/2 * 10 * 25

     = 5 * 25

     = 125 J

Case of second mass

Mass = 10kg

Velocity = 100m/s

KE = 1/2 mv²

     = 1/2 * 10 * 100²

     = 1/2 * 10 * 10000

     = 5 * 10000

     = 50000 J

Therefore ratio of KE = 125 / 50000

                                     = 1/400
