work done = mgh

= 100/1000 × 10 ×10

= 10 joule.

2)... same potential energy 10 j

because work is form of energy.......

Answer:

Mass of body = 100 g = 0.1 kg

height = 10 m

(1) Work done = F.S = (mg) × (- 10m)

Work = 0.1 × 10 × -10 = -10 J

work done is negative as displacement is in upward direction while force acts in downward direction.

(2) Potential Energy = mgh = 0.1 × 10 × 10 = 10 J
