Required P.E = 3.92 kJ

                K.E = 5.88 kJ

Explanation:

P.E at ht 100 m  is (P.E)₁ = mgh = 10 x 9.8 x 100 = 9800 J = 9.8 kJ

After displacement , ht from ground = 100 - 60 = 40 m

∴ P.E after 60m dispacement  (P.E) ₂ = 10 x 9.8 x 40 = 3920 J = 3.92 kJ

  K.E after 60 m displacement = (P.E)₁ - (P.E)₂ = 9800 - 3920

                                                                           = 5880 J

                                                                            = 5.88 kJ
