Final velocity = 60 m/s

Distance covered = 300 m

Explanation:

Given:

  • Initial velocity (u) is 0 m/s.
  • Mass (m) of body is 25 kg.
  • Force (f) applied on body is 150N.
  • Time (t) given is 10 seconds.

To Find:

  • What is the velocity and distance covered by body in 10 seconds ?

Formula to be used:

  • F = ma { For acceleration }
  • v = u + at { For final velocity }
  • s = ut + 1/2at² { For distance }

Solution: As we know that

Force = Mass \times Acceleration

\implies{\rm } 150 = 25 \times a

\implies{\rm } 150/25 = a

\implies{\rm } 6 m/ = a

So, The acceleration of body is 6 m/s².

Now finding final velocity

\implies{\rm } v = u + at

\implies{\rm } v = 0 + 6 \times 10

\implies{\rm } v = 60 m/s.

So, The final velocity of body after 10 seconds is 60 m/s.

Therefore, Total distance covered is

\implies{\rm } s = ut + 1/2at²

\implies{\rm } s = 0 \times 10 + 1/2 \times 6 \times 10²

\implies{\rm } s = 0 + 3 \times 100

\implies{\rm } s = 300 m

So, The total distance covered by the body after 10 seconds is 300m.
