Answer:

Mass of body = 2kg.

Height to which it's raised = 2m

And value of g= 9.8 m/s

Now

Work =mgh

Work= 2 ×9.8× 2

Work= 39.2 Joule.

Given :-

Mass of the body = 2 kg

Height it's been raised to = 2 m

To Find :-

The work done by the body.

Analysis :-

Here we are given with the mass and the height of the body.

In order to find the work done substitute the given values from the questions accordingly such that work done is equal to mass into gravity into height of the body.

Solution :-

We know that,

  • m = Mass
  • w = Work done
  • g = Gravity
  • h = Height

Using the formula,

\underline{\boxed{\sf Work \ done=Mass \times Gravity \times Height}}

Given that,

Mass (m) = 2 kg

Gravity (g) = 9.8 m/s

Height (h) = 2 m

Substituting their values,

⇒ w = mgh

⇒ w = 2 × 9.8 × 2

⇒ w = 39.2 J

Therefore, the work done by the body is 39.2 J.
