Mass x acceleration = weight..

put values that are given in the question..

M(a+g) =4.8g

Ma =4.8g-4g=0.8g

a =0.8/4g=0.2g=2m/s^2.

here g is acceleration due to gravity i.e. 10m/s^2

so the a = 2m/s^2..
