Answer:

Increase in potential energy =(final potential energy) − (initial potential energy) = mg×(h2−h1)=5×10×(10−5)=250J.

Given :

  • ➻ Mass (m) = 5 kg
  • ➻ Height₁ (h₁) = 5 m
  • ➻ Height₂ (h₂) = 10 m
  • ➻ Gravity (g) = 10 ms⁻²

Find :

  • ➻ The increase in its potential energy.

Solution :

  • Increase in potential energy = mg (h₂ - h₁)

➺ 5 ༝ 10 ༝ (10 - 5)

➺ 250 J

Therefore,

  • Hence, the increase in its potential energy 250 J.
