Given :
- Mass of a body, m = 5 kg
- Initial velocity, u = 0 m/s (as it is at rest)
- Force, F = 5 N
- Time taken, t = 10 seconds
To find :
- Final velocity, v
According to the question,
➞ Force = Mass × Acceleration
Or,
➞ F = ma
➞ 5 = 5 × a
➞ 5 ÷ 5 = a
➞ 1 = a
- So, the acceleration is 1 m/s².
➞ v = u + at
Where,
- v = Final velocity
- u = Initial velocity
- a = Acceleration
- t = Time taken
➞ Substituting the values,
➞ v = 0 + 1 × 10
➞ v = 0 + 10
➞ v = 10
- So, the final velocity is 10 m/s.

Answer:
Given :-
- A body of mass is 5 kg remains at rest if a force of 5 N is application the body of 10 seconds.
To Find :-
- What is the final velocity.
Formula Used :-
❶ To find acceleration,
★ F = ma ★
where,
- F = Force
- m = Mass
- a = Acceleration
❷ To find final velocity,
✰ v = u + at ✰
where,
- v = Final velocity
- u = Initial velocity
- a = Acceleration
- t = Time
Solution :-
❶ First we have to find the acceleration,
Given :
- Mass = 5 kg
- Force = 5 N
According to the question by using the formula we get,
⇒ 5 = 5 × a
⇒ 5 ÷ 5 = a
⇒ 1 = a
➠ a = 1 m/s²
Hence, the acceleration is 1 m/s² .
❷ Now we have to find the final velocity,
Given :
- Acceleration = 1 m/s
- Initial velocity = 0 m/s
- Time = 10 seconds
According to the question by using the formula we get,
↦ v = 0 + 1(10)
↦ v = 0 + 10
➦ v = 10 m/s
∴ The final velocity is 10 m/s .
