p = m*v

=5*2

p= 10 kg m s

ankit2911: wrong
srishti123103: the formula of momentum is mass divided by velocity....can u pls correct me if i am wrong!!
ankit2911: momentum =mass×velocity
srishti123103: ive corrected it..

Answer:-

10 kg m/s

Given:-

Mass = 5 kg

Velocity = 2 m/s

we will here,

Linear momentum = Mass × Velocity

⇒ Mass × Velocity

⇒ 5 kg × 2 m/s

⇒ 10 kg m/s

Linear momentum of body is 10 kg m/s.

Explanation:-

Linear momentum is a property of a moving object, equal to its mass times its linear velocity. It is what Newton was referring to when he said that a force is the time rate of change of momentum.
