Here, m=5kg

a= 4m/s2

According to 2nd law of motion, the force acting on a body is directly proportional to the rate of change of momentum.

i.e. F = k. m(v-u) /t

In SI units k =1

So, F = ma

Hence, Force acting on the body = 5x4 =20 N

Again, if initial velocity is u and final velocity is v, then change in momentum after 3 secs will be

mv-mu = Fxt = 20x3= 60 kg.m/s
