If an object of mass m moves with a constant velocity v, and covers a distance s, then work done would be = 0; but the kinetic energy (which is also a form of work done) is 1/2mv^2 ≠ 0. How is this possible?
Kinetic energy is most definitely not a form of “work done.” Work is the transfer of energy from one thing or place to another. Most often, it involves the application of a force and the resulting movement of a massive object, but there are other forms of work as well.
