m₁=m
m₂=2m
v₁=3km/h

the velocity of m₂ isn't given, so let v₂ be 0m/s

that means, m₁v₁=MV [m₂v₂=0, because v₂=0 and M=m₁+m₂, V=final velocity of coalesced mass.

V=m
₁v₁/(m₁+m₂)
V=m(3)/(3m)=1m/s

Hope it helped.

Answer:

3/2 kmph

Explanation:

Atq:

m1 u1 = m2 u2

= m×3 = 2m × u2

so u2 = 3/2 kmph
