A) kept on decreasing

If the body kept on increasing or remain throught the same there are possibilities to crash into the wall. So, the acceleration of the body kept on decreasing gradually.

for example: If a car is accelerated and while going in the upward side of the bridge the acceleration of the car decreases only when you increase acceleration the car goes on unless it is stoped by external force.
