s at nth time is
s = u + 1/2a(2n-1)

Now since u=0
s in 4th second is simply
1/2a(2n-1)
Put a=5 & n=4.
You will get the correct answer.

Hello friend,

Acceleration = 5m/s²

Time = 4th second

As body start from rest u = 0.

From Second Equation,

s = ut + at²/2

s = 5*4*4/2

s = 40 metre

s is the distance travelled in four second.

Thank you.
