Let the acceleration be a.

Distance traveled by a body (s) = 100 m

Time taken (t) = 5 s

Initial velocity = 0

Using second equation of motion,

\( 100 = 0 + \frac{1}{2} \times a \times 5^2\)

\( a = \frac{100 \times 2}{25}\)

a = 8 \(\frac{m}{s^2}\)

Hence, the acceleration of the body = 8 \(\frac{m}{s^2}\)
