Given:-

  • A body starts from rest so then initial velocity is 0.
  • It has an acceleration of 5m/s².
  • It travelled for 5sec.

To Find:-

  • Find the final velocity and distance travelled by the body.

Solution:-

As we know,

u = initial velocity

v = final velocity

a = acceleration

s = distance

t = time

Now,

We have to find the final velocity by using the first equation of motion:-

v = u + at

v = 0 + 5(5)

\boxed{\bf{\color{yellw}{ \: v \:  =  \: 25m/s \: }}}

Now,

We have to find the distance by using third equation of motion:-

s = ut + 1/2 at²

s = 0(5) + 1/2 × 5 × 5²

s = 125/2

\tt { \boxed{ \: s \:  =  \: 62.5m \: } }

Answer:

Given :-

Initial velocity = 0 m/s

Acceleration = 5 m/s

Time = 5 sec

To Find :-

Velocity

Distance travelled

Solution :-

Firstly we will use first equation for finding final velocity

V = U + AT

V = 0 + 5×5

V = 0 + 25

V = 25 m/s

Now,

Let's find distance travelled by using third Equation

V² - U² = 2as

25²-0² = 2(5)(s)

625 - 0 = 10 s

625 = 10 s

S = 625/10

S = 62.5 m
