: - A body starts moving with a velocity of (Vο = 3 m/s) and moves in a straight-line motion with uniform acceleration. After (t1 = 5 seconds) of time it has a gained the velocity (v = 5.5 m/s). Find the uniform acceleration and the distance travelled in (t2 = 10 seconds)?

Answer:

initial velocity (u)= 3m/s

time (t1)= 5s

final velocity(v)= 5.5m/s

acceleration(a) = change in velocity/time = v-u/t = 5.5-3/5 = 2.5/5 = 0.5

uniform acceleration = 0.5m/s∧2

when time (t2) =  10s

distance (s) = ut + 1/2at∧2 = 3×10 + 1/2×0.5×10×10

                 s = 30 + 0.5×50 = 30 + 25 = 55

distance = 55m

hope this helps
