Total Distance = h + h = 2h
Total displacement = h - h = 0

(a) As body has gone up to a height h and return back thus the total path length covered is 2h and hence the distance travelled is 2h.

(b) As the body returns to its initial point and thus no change in position of body thus displacement is zero.

Rishikant644: thanx a lot for answering:)
