A body travels a distance of 15 from x to Y and then moves a distance of 20 m at right angle from y to z .calculate the total distance and the resultant displacement.




plzz give the right answer.. ​

Answer:

distance is the total path travelled by the object so

distance =15+20=35

displacement =the shortest distance travelled by the body

when we will arrange the question in form of diagram we will get a right angle triangle .. and to find the displacement we can find the hypotenuse of triangle..

h square =p square + b square

20square +15sq

400+225

h sq =625

h=25 ...

therefore 25is the displacement
