distance=1/2×22/7×r
=1/2×22/7×10
=15.7m
displacement =2r
=2×10
20m

Given:

radius = 10m

To Find:

  • distance
  • displacement

Solution:

Distance will be the circumference of the semicircular path.

d = 2 π R / 2

d = π R

d = 3.14 * 10

d = 31.4 m

Displacement will be the shortest path i.e, diameter of the semicircular path.

displacement = 2 * R = 2 * 10 = 20m

So, the distance is 31.4 m and the displacement is 20 m
