Given ⇒
Mass of the body at the equator = 10 kg.

∴ Mass of the body at poles = 10 kg.

Mass is the quantity of the matter present, It never changes. It is independent of the place and any physical conditions. Therefore, It will never change on the Poles. It will remains same in each and every part of the earth. Also, on different planets too it remains same.

Only weight of the substances change since it depends upon the gravitational force of the attraction.

Hope it helps.

At the poles, the body will weigh slightly more than 10 Kg.

The earth is not exactly spherical. Its shape is known as a 'Geoid' and is flattened at the poles. In other words, there is a slight outward bulge at the equator.

The distance between surface of the earth and its centre is slightly less at the poles. As the gravitational force is inversely proportional to the distance between the centre of the earth and the body (on the surface), more force will be experienced at the poles than at the equator.

Hence the 10 Kg body will weigh slightly more, at the poles.

tiwaavi: sir/mam. 10 kg is the mass which is not affected by place. Weight is affected by place.
