A book cost Rs.96 and Mahesh bought 60 such books. By mistake the accountant at the store makes the bill by taking the cost of each book to be Rs.5 less. What is the difference in this bill from what it would have been in reality?

The original price of the book = Rs.96
Number of books bought = 60
Therefore, total bill = 96 x 60 = Rs. 5760

The mistaken price of each book = 96 - 5 = 91
Number of books bought = 60
Therefore total bill = 91 x 60 = Rs.5460

Thus the difference between both the bills = 5760 - 5460 = Rs. 300
Hope it helps !!
