A book costs Rs. 96 and Rohan bought 60 such books. By mistake, the accountant at the store made the bill by
taking the cost of each book to be 5 less. What is the difference in this bill from what it would have been?

Answer:

The original price of the book = Rs.96

Number of books bought = 60

Therefore, total bill = 96 x 60 = Rs. 5760

The mistaken price of each book = 96 - 5 = 91

Number of books bought = 60

Therefore total bill = 91 x 60 = Rs.5460

Thus the difference between both the bills = 5760 - 5460 = Rs. 300

Hope it helps !!
