Hey mate here's your answer to the question:-

Given dimensions of the book=(5*2)cm² =10cm² =0.1m² = area of the book.

Given force applied=10N

We know that, Pressure=Force/Area =(10/0.1)N/ =100 Pascal

Hence the magnitude of pressure is 100 Pascal.

Hope it's helpful.

Given,

Force = 10 N

Length of book = 5 cm

Breadth of book = 2 cm

Area = l x b = (5 x 2) cm^2 = 10 cm^2

Now Convert it into SI unit :-

=> 10 cm^2 = 0.1 m^2

As we know that,

=> Pressure = Force/Area

=> P = 10/0.1 Nm^-2

=> P = 100 Nm^-2

=> P = 1000 Pascal or 100 Pa

In the honour of a great Scientist Blaise Pascal we use Pascal or Pa.
