A box contain x 50-paise coins, 2x one rupees coins and 3x two rupees coins. If the total value of thes coins is Rs 68, what the value of x ?

0.50x+2x+3x=68
5.50x=68
x=68/5.5
x=12.36

Number of 50 paise coins = x
number of 1 Rs coins = 2x
number of Rs 2 coins = 3x
Total value of the coins = Rs68
Rs1/2 × x + Rs1 × 2x + Rs2 × 3x =Rs 68
x /2 + 2x + 6x = 68
x /2 + 8x = 6
( x + 16x )/2 = 68
17x = 68 × 2
x = ( 68 × 2 ) / 17
x = 4 × 2
x = 8
The value of x = 8
