a box contains 12 balls out of which 4 are red 3 or black and 5 are white A ball is taken out of the box at random find the probability that the selected ball is first not read second black or red?

total number of balls=12
probability of having first ball not as red => ball will be black or white
total of black and white ball = 3+5=8
probability = number of the balls of that particular color/number of total ball. => 8/12=2/3 is the probability of not getting first ball as red.



ii) second ball as red or black= 4+3= 7
probability=7/12
