Given

  • The number of Green balls = 4
  • The number of red balls = 6
  • The number of Blue Balls = 5

To find

  • The probability of getting a red ball
  • The probability of getting a blue ball
  • The probability of getting a ball of any colour

The probability of an event is given by the number of favourable outcomes by total number of outcomes.

Total number of balls = 4+5+6 = 15

(a) probability of getting a red ball = number of Red Ball by total number of ball

ie, P(R) = 6/15

similarly,

(b) P(B) = 5/15

(c) The number of balls having any colour = 15

hence, probability of getting a ball of any colour is , 15/15 or 1.
