Weight of the box = total weight - (weight of the nuts + weight of the bolts)

weight of the nuts = 90 * 100 = 9000 gms = 9 kg

weight of the bolts = 100 * 150 = 15000 gms = 15 kg

weight of the nuts + weight of the bolts = 15 + 9 = 24 kg

total weight given = 35.5 kg

weight of the empty box = 35.5 - 24 = 11.5 kg

Find the total weight of the nuts:

1 nut = 100 g

90 nuts = 100 x 90 = 9000g = 9kg

Find the total weight of the bolts:

1 bolt = 150 g

100 bolts = 150 x 100 = 15000g = 15kg

Find the total weight of the nuts and bolts:

Total weight = 9  + 15 = 24 kg

Find the weight of the empty box:

Weight of the entire box = 35.5 kg

Empty box = 35.5 - 24 = 11.5 kg

Answer: The weight of the empty box is 11.5 kg
