A box has 15 slips with numbers from 1
to 15 written on them, one slip with one
number. One slip is drawn from the box.
Find the probability that the slip drawn
has a multiple of 5.

Numbers written on slips are 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10

I)Probability of getting number =1/10

ii)Number less than 6 are 1,2,3,4,5

Probability of getting number less than 6 =5/10=1/2

iii)Probability of getting number greater than 6 =4/10=2/5

iv)Probability of getting one digit number = 9/10

Total possible outcomes= 15
Favourable outcome ( multiples pf 5 = 5,10,15 ) = 3
Probability= fav. Outcome/total possible otcome
Therefore,
Probability= 3/15 = 1/5
Prob.= 1/5
