1 litre = 1000 cm^3
3 litre = 3000 cm^3

dimensions of box are :
20 cm
12 cm
and let length of box be x centimeters
so,
3000 = 2 × 12 × x
x = 125 cm

The length of the box should be 125 cm to hold 3 litres of water .

Step-by-step explanation:

length 20cm

breadth 12cm

let height be x

1l=1000cm

so, 3litre =3000cm

h=3000=20×12×x

x=3000/12×20

h=12.5cm

this is the right answer
