Given:

A box of toys is kept at a place 100m away.

To find:

Time taken to reach the box if he runs at speed of 20m/s ?

Calculation:

The time taken by the boy to reach the box of toys can be calculated by dividing the distance with the speed with which the boy travels.

 \sf \therefore \: time =  \dfrac{distance}{speed}

 \sf \implies \: time =  \dfrac{100 \: m}{20 \: m {s}^{ - 1} }

 \sf \implies \: time =  5 \: sec

So, the time taken by the boy to reach the box of toys is 5 sec.

  • Kindly note , this formula is applicable only when we consider that the boy is travelling at a uniform speed.

  • This would mean that the boy is not accelerating and performing uniform motion.
