A boy covers a leaf with a polythene bag and leaves it for 24 hours. What will happen and why .

We know that all plants, trees, etc. respire. In the same way this is an experiment that shows the repiration of the plant. When you cover the plant with the a polythene bag the respiration does not contact with the atmosphere outside. It starts the condensation process right there and after a while we notice that  there are water droplets on the inside of the polythene bag. On the other hand if you use any other bag such as jute  air passes through it easily and hence no droplet formation is seen.

If the boy keeps the platic coverer leaves plant in sunlight for 24hrs he can observe the tiny troplrts formed on the polythene which is used to cover the leaf this is because of transpiration takes through leaves which contains stomata -tiny spores on leaves through which exchange of gas , transpiration takes place
