Let divide this question into 2 cases.
Case1:
a boy goes to school. I.E.A to B point
A is village and B is school.
So,consider average speed is same as speed
Put both the velocities final v and initial v.
so l.h.s. =3+2/2
=2.5
r.h.s=distance/5hours
so, distance= (2.5)*5
distance is 12.5 km.

Answer:
6kms
Step-by-step explanation
Let the required distance be x km.
Then,
{x}/{3}+{x}/{2} = 5
=> {2x+3x}/{6} = 5
=> 5x = 6 *5
x = 6*5/5= 6 km.
