Answer:

current amount = 350

amount deposited each day = 40

amount deposited in 10 days = 40 x 10 = 400

amount after 10 days = 350 + 400

Answer:

The amount of money in his account after 10 days = 750rupees

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

The initial amount the boy has in account = 350

The amount he deposited for 10 days = 40

To find,

The amount in the account after 10days

Solution:

Recall the formula

The nth term of an AP = a+(n-1) d, where 'a' is the first term and 'd' is the common difference of the AP.

The amount of money in the account each day is given by

350,350+40,350+40+40,...........

This sequence form an AP with first term 350 and common difference d = 40

Since, he deposited Rs. 40 for 10 days, required to find the 11th term of this AP

a_{11} = a+(11-1)d

= 350 + 10 ×40

= 350 + 400

a_{11} = 750

∴ The amount of money in his account after 10 days = 750rupees
