Then, according to the question, Mom's age = 2x + 12 years.

After 8 years, Mom's age will be = 2x+12+8= 2x + 20 years.

And,Anus age will be= X+ 8 years.

But according to the question, after 8 years Mom's age will be= 3(X+8) -20 years.

So, 2x+ 20 = 3(X+8)-20

2x+20 = 3x + 24 -20

2x + 20= 3x + 4

20-4=3x-2x

16 = X

i.e, X= 16 years.

So Anus age= 16years. Ans.

And Mom's age= 2x+12= 2×16+12= 32+12=44years. Ans.
