Answer:

The correct answer to this question is:

the total time taken to complete 5 rounds = 6.534 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

A boy is cycling along a square field at a speed of  18 km/hr

speed = 18 km/hr

The area of the square field = 9604 meters

we know,

area of a square = s * s = 9604 m²

s² = 9604 m²

s = √9604 m²

s = 98 m

perimeter  = 4 * side

= 4 * 98 m

= 392 m

Hence, perimeter = 392 m

Also given, he needs to complete 5 rounds.sp,

Total distance = 5 * perimeter

                        = 5 * 392 m

                        = 1960 m

Total distance = 1960 m = 1.960 km

In 1 hr, he can cover 18 km

In x hr, he can cover 1.960 km

1.960 / 18 =  x / 1

x = 0.1089 hr (approximately)

x = 0.1089 * 60 min

x = 6.534 minutes

Hence, the total time taken to complete 5 rounds = 6.534 minutes
