We can simplify the system by assuming the boy to be a box hung by two strings making an angle between them.

Let angle between the strings be 2a
and tension in them be T (it wil be same in both due to symmetry)
Thus total force due to tension balancing the mass of block will be:

 2T cos a = mg
 T = mg/(2 cos a)
 for minimum T we differentiate it with a.

chinnu41: pls send it once again it is saying answer doesnt exist
kumarysunil: i will write it here
kumarysunil: one min.
chinnu41: ok
kumarysunil: dT/da = - (-sin a) mg/2cos sq a =0
kumarysunil: therefore a = 0
chinnu41: wrong it is 120
kumarysunil: is there any no. kg in the question
chinnu41: no that is question
chinnu41: u have done it for min tension but it is for max tension
