A boy lost 55% of his pocket money. If he had 67 left, how much was his pocket money?

Let his pocket money be Rs.X.
So if he lost 55% of Rs.X , his money lost is 55% of X= (55/100)*X
Thus the money he has left with him is (Total Money- Money lost)
As per the question the money left is Rs.67
Hence equate it as,
X-[(55/100)*X]=67
Find X from the equation which will give you the total pocket money
