Answer:

Final Velocity = 0, Initial Velocity = u, Height = 0.8 m, Gravity = 10 m/s²

v² - u² = 2gh

=> 0² - u² = - 2 × 10 × 0.8

=. - u² = -16

=> u² = 16

=> u = √16 = 4 m/s

Momentum = Mass × Velocity

=> Momentum = 50 kg × 4 m/s

=> Momentum = 200 kg. m/s

Hence the momentum transferred by the ground to the boy is 200 kg. m/s.

v^2-u^2 =2gh

0-u^2= 2*10*0.8

U^2 =16

U = (16)^1/2

U‌= 4

Momentum = mass X velocity

= 50 x 4 = 200 kg ‌m/s
