Answer:

10J

Explanation:

Work done = Force (F) × Distance (D)

Force = 5 N

Distance = 20 cm

Work done = 5 × 20

                   = 100 J

Given:-

  • Force applied by boy on book (f) = 5N

  • Displacement of book (d) = 20 cm.

To Find:-

  • Work done (W).

Solution:-

According to the Question

Firstly we need to convert the Distance into m

therefore 20cm = 20/100 = 0.2m

By using this formula

⟹ Work done = Force × displacement

⟹ W = f ×d

Putting all the values which is given above

⟹ W = 5 × 0.2

⟹ W = 1 Joule.

Additional Information !!

✧ when a force acts on an object and the object displace then we say that the work done on the object

In other words

work done is the product of force and displacement.

✧ SI unit of work done is Joule (J).
