a boy runs 100 m along the east then he turns to his left side at right angle and runs for 50m along the north direction find the distance and the magnitude of tje displacement of the boy ?

Distance = 100m + 50m = 150 m

Displacement = sqrt(100^2 + 50^2) = 111.80 m

distance = 100 + 50 = 150 m 

Displacement = √(100^2 + 50^2) 

                       = √(10000 + 2500)

                       = √(12500)= √ 125 x 10 x 10 

                       = 10√ 5 x 5 x 5 =  50√5 m
