the distance between the tower and the building = 34.6 m  ,  distance from the top of the tower to the base of the building  = 40 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Distance between tower & building    = d

Height of Building  = h

Tower height  = 20 m

Tan 30° = 20/d

=> 1/√3 = 20/d

=> d = 20√3 = 34.6 m

the distance between the tower and the building = 34.6 m

Find the distance from the top of the tower to the base of the building

Sin 30  = 20/ distance from the top of the tower to the base of the building

=> 1/2 = 20/ distance from the top of the tower to the base of the building

=> distance from the top of the tower to the base of the building  = 40 m

tan 50°   = (h - 20)/d

=> 1.2 = (h - 20)/20√3

=> h - 20  = 41.5

=> h = 61.5 m

Height of building  = 61.5 m
