hey mate....

distance between the hands and wall is 60m

time between 1st and 51st claps echoes is 18s

total claps echoes is 51-1= 50

distance covered by the sound 60x50x2 = 6000m

velocity of sound = 6000/18 =333.33ms-1

The speed of sound would be 333.34 m/s

1) The distance between the boy and walls is 60 m.

2) Time taken for 50 claps is 18 seconds i.e. in 18 seconds sound moves to the boy and then to the wall for 50 times.

3) Hence, total time covered by the sound would be 50*60*2 = 6000 m

4) The speed of sound would be = distance/ time taken = 6000/ 18 = 333.34 m/s
