u = 24.5 m/s

v = 0 m/s [When it reaches its highest point]

g = -9.8 m/s^2

(i) v = u + at

=> 0 = 24.5 - 9.8t

=> 24.5 = 9.8t

=> t = 24.5/9.8

=> t = 2.5 s

This is the time required to reach the highest point. Total time taken for journey will be = 2.5 × 2 = 5 s

Thus, total time is 5 s

(ii) x = ut + 1/2at^2

=> x = 24.5(2.5) + 1/2(-9.8)(2.5)^2

=> x = 30.625 m
