displacement of the boy=
 \sqrt{1 {0}^{2}  + 7 {}^{2} }
 \sqrt{100 + 49}
 \sqrt{149}
 \sqrt{149}  \: m \: towards \: north \: east

☆ hey friend!!! ☆

here is your answer ☞
→_→→_→→_→→_→

let's

the boy travel to direction for north = OB

and

he again travel to direction for east = BA

then real displacements = OA = X

according to your question

OB = 10 m _____given

and

BA = 7 m ______given

then

OA² = OB²+BA²

=> X² = 10²+7²

=> X² = 100 + 49

=> X² = 149

=> X = square root of 149

displacement = square root of 149 m

hope it will help you
