Let time taken from A to B be T1 and Time taken from B to A be T2

So, T1= S/V1 ( S= distance and V1= speed)

T1 = S/ 20

Similarly T2= S/30

Therefore avg.speed = total distance /total time

= S + S/ S/20 + S/30

taking s common...

= 2 / 1/20 + 1/30

= 2×20×30/ 20 + 30

= 1200 / 50

= 24 m/s
